I have an overwhelming amount of things to accomplish this week. Luckily I got some sun this morning and I feel ready to get to work now. I am looking forward to another SF co-op and time to blog guilt free!

If you're a size 9, get these shoes! Gorgeous!

Off to Findlay Market for pho with the girls. Then my first intramural soccer game...this should be interesting (I played soccer when I was 6 - that's it).

And I have to mention how I gasped when I saw elephantine's new ombre highlights. I cannot wait for long hair...it'll be awhile, but as soon as it's long enough, this is the look I'm going for!

By the way, the newest issue of Lonny Magazine is live!

Loving the new Closet Visit! What a seriously addicting site by Jeana Sohn.

teach us to care & not to care. teach us to be still. t.s. elliot.

Getting a little personal here...bear with me. We all have our hang ups and things we need to work on. I dealt with anxiety for the better part of my teenage life. I conquered that with lots of work but still, everyone has something, right? I seem to struggle with the idea that there are people out there who just don't like you. I had a few friendship fallouts soon after I graduated from high school. I always stayed true to my convictions and did what I thought was right, but still, sometimes certain relationships aren't meant to last. I've had all the wise people in my life tell me time and time again that I should forget it and move on. I know they are right, but I still struggle with the idea that there are people out there who may not like me. I know I'm blogging things much more personal than usual (maybe it's time I start?), but the quote above is one of my favorites, and I think it applies perfectly to my struggle. I hope it benefits you in some way!

The weather in Cincinnati has finally warmed up & cleared. Yesterday was perfection as far as Spring goes. My mom and I shared some laughs and ice cream in the afternoon. I then joined Andy for Indian food and homework. The weather was so perfect we thought, why not sleep outside? So we turned my 3rd story balcony into a giant bed. So much fun! While there's so much excitement & change in my life right now, I'll miss these simple Cincinnati moments.

By the way, I'm sure you've heard of Gretchen Rubin's "The Happiness Project." I've been reading a lot of interesting eastern philosophy on happiness and I'm wondering if I should add this to my list. Apparently there's a chapter on the happiness that collecting things can bring. It got me thinking...I can't remember the last time I collected something or what it was. I think Sibella Court is most definitely a collecting genius. I picked up this beautiful piece of driftwood while I was in Point Reyes. I love natural things...like shells, wood, or strange little oddities found in the woods. Maybe I should start a collection?

Oh and while we're at it! I've been cooking a bit more, nothing impressive, but who cares? It's a very relaxing hobby. I've been keeping track of my favorite recipes. I added Rifle Paper Co's recipe cards to my wish list. Such a pretty way to organize in the kitchen.

Finally purchased my Warby Parker glasses. Excited to sport these gems (Preston). By the way, they have amazing customer service!

I plan on getting a lot of stuff done this weekend. I've finally locked down a look for a branding project I'm working on so I'm itching to dive into it. Tomorrow I'm going mother's day shopping at Crafty Supermarket. I'm then going to a modern dance performance...I can almost bet it'll be the one last push I need to get myself into some classes (modern dance influences and moves me artistically in a way no other creative medium can).

Today, in the midst crossing off the remainder of my to-do list, I'm going to bake these.

Have a fascinating weekend. And a happy mother's day!

The beautiful and talented designer Laurie B. was kind enough to let me take photos of her insanely amazing home when I visited over the Winter. I just can't get over those amazing hanging lights...more photos to come, long overdue post!

Anthropologie's new catalog in the mail today...instant mood lift! How amazing are her culottes?

There's a good chance I've written about her before but I have to stress that Randi Brookman Harris is my career idol. A trained graphic designer turned prop & set stylist is exactly where I picture myself. I spend countless hours rearranging little vignettes in my apartment. Her job would not be a 'job' to me, it would never feel like work. What an amazing talent she has.
